This is the view from one of five US101 Lookout points, just a few feet from the highway.  If you have not driven south of Cannon beach lately, you are missing some of the best views on the entire coast.  Manzanita is along the beach and Wheeler is in the background along the bay/river. 

When you run out of quarters in Seaside or get tired of the crowds in Cannon Beach—simply point yourself south for a few miles along one of this country’s most beautiful stretches of Coastal Highway.  Bring the kids and fill the boat with big tasty Dungeness Crabs (take them back ready to eat), leave the kids behind and quietly paddle the Nehalem River and Bay, or come to Wheeler and split your time between being on the water and our Wheeler Antique Row.
